Hmmm, not sure how we feel about that. We are not fans of pit bulls (having encountered a few hostile ones in the past), but we don't believe in punishing a whole breed just because their human owners can't handle them properly.

Dog specific legislation if pure ignorance. Any large breed dog can be a dangerious biter if abused. Unfortunately Pitts, German Shepards, Rotweilers, Dobermans have been steriotyped as dangerious. But the facts as I have owned Pitts, shepards, and pincers, is they are not dangerious if raised with kindness, and given adequate socialization. None of my pitts have been agressive or dangerious, but may to some look dangerious. So punish a bad owner, not his dog. With a bit of time, and kindness, I think most will be great house pets, and companions, as they were once the most common breed of dog in the 30's in America as a house pet.
